Toxic. We advise that essential oils with a high methyl salicylate content be avoided by any route in pregnancy and lactation, by anyone concurrently taking anticoagulant drugs (due to possible potentiation) and by anyone with salicylate sensitivity, which applies to most children with ADD/ADHD. Caution is advised in people with dermatological conditions where the integrity of the skin is impaired.
