Deodorizing Air Freshener
If you’ve been looking for a fresh scent to spray around the house, you can make one yourself.
A deodorizing air freshener is a light and refreshing scent that may help remove odours.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 3/4 cup of water.
- 2 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol, or real vanilla extract.
- 4 drops of Tea Tree Oil.
- 8 drops of Lemon Oil.
- 6 drops of Eucalyptus Oil.
You can mix these ingredients together and pour them into a spray bottle.
That’s it!
Lavender Lotion Bars
Give your skin a soft and luxurious feel with lavender lotion bars! They are a great way to hydrate and soothe the skin.
Plus, you can make them anytime from the comfort of your own home.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2 ounces of beeswax.
- 2 ounces of coconut oil.
- 2 ounces of shea butter or cocoa butter.
- 10-20 drops of Lavender Oil.
Melt the beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter in a small saucepan over low heat until it trunks to liquid.
Then stir in your essential oils and pour the mixture into a silicone mould of your choice. You can play around with the shapes!
Store these bars in a cool, dry place, and use them as often as you like.
Peppermint Citrus Sugar Scrub
Sugar scrubs are a way to gently exfoliate the skin.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 cup of granulated white sugar.
- 1/4-1/3 cup oil of your choice: coconut oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, apricot oil, avocado oil, or a combination of these.
- 2-4 tablespoons orange or grapefruit zest (optional).
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable glycerin (optional).
- 10 drops of Peppermint Oil.
- 10-15 drops of Sweet Orange Oil but Lemon Oil or Grapefruit Oil will work.
Mix the sugar, oil, zest, and vegetable glycerin together, then gradually add the essential oils until you get the scent you want.
You can store your sugar scrub in a glass jar or container!
Then start using your homemade scrub. We hope you give these recipes a try! If so, be sure to keep us posted on how you end up liking them.
